Refer a Merchant

Receive 10% of the money they ever spend.

How?

First of all, you’ll need to be an active member to make money. Being an active member means that you have a username and it says "active" on your account page under "membership status."

Active members have two options to choose from:

  1. Login and click "manage account" in the upper left-hand corner of the page. There you'll see a custom link that is personalized just for you. All you have to do is copy and paste that link into an email or instant message and send it to anyone who owns or manages a business. If they click on that link to register their business on SaveChicago.org, your username will automatically be filled in as the referrer.
  2. Tell any local merchant about SaveChicago.org, and if they ask, "What’s that?" tell them whatever you think you need to in order to get them to this site. When that merchant clicks "advertise with us," the first question we ask them is, "Enter the username or email address of the person who referred you." They must then manually type in your username or email address.

Your job is done! Not too difficult a way to make money, don’t you think?

Every time that business purchases advertising credits through that same merchant account, you will earn 10% of the money they spend on SaveChicago.org. At the end of every month, we’ll run a report that tells us to whom we owe money.

Remember, if you ever cease to be a paying subscriber with that same username, and your account goes inactive, you relinquish your claim to the 10% referral fee. By the way, here are some other terms and conditions.
